When do I receive my American Heart Association BLS Instructor Certification?
Interns will receive their AHA BLS Instructor Certification once they have been cleared by our training center faulty and have completed the 200-hour program requirement.
Welcome to the CPR Hero’s Emergency Cardiovascular Care Instructor Internship Program! If you are looking for ways to set yourself apart from volunteering at the hospital or doing research, then you are at the right place! How about become a leading educator for the American Heart Association? CPR Hero would like to offer you an opportunity to train undergrads/graduates the science in emergency medicine to be a great CPR and First Aid Instructor.
Pre-requisites
- At least 18 years old
- Graduates or students from an accredited college or university
- BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation
How to Apply?
- Complete our application and attach your resume
- If selected, pay the $275 application fee (includes the American Heart Association BLS Instructor Certification upon program completion)
- Attend our Instructor Course (we have one Instructor Course every three months)
How many hours a week do I have to commit to the program?
Interns are required to teach/assist one class per week, which varies from two to five hours. Also, they must attend one clinical activity per month.
What are the total costs of program?
The total cost of the program is $275 (non-refundable), and interns will receive their BLS Instructor Certification upon program completion (once they reach 200 hours).
Can I reapply if I was not accepted the first time?
Yes, we always encourage applicants to re-apply as our application process is selective. Please do not submit the same responses on the new application.
What do I do if I cannot make it to the instructor course?
Instructor course is one of the most essential components on becoming a certified instructor. Program manual and other logistics will be covered during the instructor course. We host one instructor course every rotation (three months). You will simply have to wait for the next rotation if you were accepted but not able to attend the instructor course.
